Free parking is available in lots adjacent to the Almonte General Hospital and Fairview Manor. Parking spaces for the disabled are available.
Prescription Renewals
Due to the increased clinical obligations at the Family Health Team and the Almonte General Hospital – prescription renewals may now take up to 7 days to renew.

Welcoming new Doctors to our Almonte Team
The Ottawa Valley Family Health Team is excited to announce the addition of three new members to our physician staff, Dr. Laurel Kedrosky, Dr. Lawrie Ray, and Dr. Sylvia Almeida.
Dr. Laurel Kedrosky recently joined our team as our newest family physician, replacing Dr. Melissa Forbes. During her training, Dr. Kedrosky spent time in both Almonte and Carleton Place. She recently completed enhanced skills training in maternity and newborn skills through the University of Ottawa and joins our family medicine obstetrics team Drs. Stewardson, Toderian and Fortune and Almeida
Dr. Ray first worked with the OVFHT in 2015 and loved it so much she chose to make us her permanent home. She has extensive experience having worked and trained in many rural communities from Trail, and Haida Gwaii, British Columbia to St. John’s Newfoundland and Iqaluit, Nunavut.
Dr. Ray’s practice is specifically focused on geriatrics, caring for residents at Orchard View in Almonte where she is the house physician, as well as residents of Fairview Manor. She will also care for patients admitted to the Almonte General Hospital.
Dr. Almeida hails from Brazil and is now making the Ottawa Valley Family Health Team her new home. Having worked in Obstetrics before coming to Canada, Dr. Almeida is joining our Family Medicine Obstetrics team with Drs. Stewardson, Toderian, Kedrosky and Fortune. Dr. Almeida will initially be building her practice from our Obstetrics program.

Ottawa Valley Family Medicine Obstetrics
Provide comprehensive pregnancy care to low-risk women in west Ottawa, the Ottawa Valley, and Lanark county. The group has privileges for delivery at the Almonte General Hospital. The unit has five private postpartum rooms with their own washroom and shower, two labour and delivery rooms, showers, and an operating room for cesarean sections. Ultrasound services are available on-site.
A full range of pain management options is available, including 24-hour epidural service. With a commitment to best practices, they have the distinction of being Ontario’s top performer in Maternity care.
